Spring 2013 trends

The spring season is in full swing(although it's still SNOWING and cold in Estonia) and I thought I'd do a post about this spring's hottest trends. I chose a few of my favorites and I'm gonna tell you, how to wear them and bring some examples from different stores, bloggers and the runway.
1. Black and white.
I've always tried to avoid going all black and white. I thought it was so boring and always tried to add a pop of color, but not this spring. It's time for graphic black and white outfits!

Jason Wu

2. Pastels.
Pastels are back for yet another spring! They look so cute and nice, but it's best to toughen pastels up with black. For example, a floral dress and black tights would look superb. Also this time they're big in sweaters.

Nina Ricci

3. Cutouts and midriffs.
This trend can seem a little too scary at first, but this spring daring cutouts and exposed stomach are to die for. I especially love dresses with little triangular cutouts on the sides.

4. Stripes.
They're back AGAIN big time! I've already talked about vertical stripes, but this season every time of stripes are very in: vertical, horizontal, wide, narrow, black and white, colorful and so on.

5. Metallic.
Gold, silver, bronze. Metallic colors are really trendy this spring. Other colors like purple, green, red etc can be metallic too and they look amazing. My favorites are metallic moto jackets and nail polishes, they add a little shine to your everyday outfit(like an all black and white one).

6. Side hair parting.
I didn't want to do the whole post about clothes, so here's a little beauty tip. I always part my hair in the center, but I've noticed that this spring parting your hair in the side is very popular on the runways and red carpets. It's best to do it not with a comb, but with your fingers. And part your hair directly above the arch of your eyebrow. I think I and all of you should try that out.

Extra: Florals

I know I shouldn't talk about florals in the spring, because its so obvious, but I just love happy colorful florals in spring and summer. This year I've noticed florals with really big flowers and florals mixed with military color, FUN!!:)

It's the first time I've done a post like this and I hope you guys like it. If it gets positive feedback, then I'm gonna start doing this kind of posts every season!

Can't wait to wear it ALL:)
xx, Kaisa
